New Democrat Bloggers Up for Canadian Blog Awards

Posted by Devin Johnston on December 2nd, 2009

The first round of voting in the 2009 Canadian Blog Awards is underway and a number of fantastic New Democrat bloggers are in the running for awards. Below, I've provided links to each of the categories (that I know of) in which New Democrat bloggers have been nominated (using New Democrats Online as my guide to self-identified Dippers). Please let me know if I've missed any. The first round of voting, to determine the finalists in each category, ends December 12. The final round of voting takes place from December 13 to December 19.

Update

Peterborough Politics has been nominated for Best Blog Overall. Please consider giving Cameron your support in that category.

Further Update

I neglected to include The Wheatsheaf in the Best Political Blog category. This is especially dumb on my part because I'm the one who nominated him. D'oh! Apologies.

To the best of my knowledge, no, although some of them are written under pseudonyms and I don't know their real identities. There are also a lot of fantastic women bloggers nominated in a variety of other categories, though none (that I know of) are "out" New Democrats. The full category list is here if you'd like to browse it:
